WRITING
This section on writing consists of thoughts, essays, published research material, and informal digress-ions.
The order follows a general sequence according to the period written. The subject matter is mostly architecturally related, having to do with design and its practice, the profession at large, client and consultant behaviour, media, construction, contracting and contractors, proponents and detractors; basically and broadly that is, anything and everything having to do with making a living and not a killing in relation to the design and its management of what we refer to as the built environment. There are those occasional moments included, when the writing delves into anything that may have crossed my mind on any one particular day.
The legacy essays catalogue most of the writing collected from 2002 up till 2009, after which, work for academia or that which ended up being published predominate right up to and during the pandemic.
The section under recent writing references that done leading from 2014 and up to the year the world shut down, and represents my discoveries, connect-ions, and corresponding thoughts on the state of our zeitgeist.
Published work may not have begun with intention for such, but ended so on account of the circumstances the pieces had been written in. These will include essays for books on architectural critique, academic symposia, architectural journals, and jury citations.
