three storey bungalow - ongoing.

The pool light house was designed for a difficult site; with a street fronting main boundary, the pie narrowed to a pretty hopeless corner at the back. Client activity requirements meant that gracious space had to be made out of a fairly heavy area program.

The solution was to front the site with a deep street scaled verandah two storeys tall, with the bulk of the house pushed up against the facade. The rest of the house ran a thin length to the tapering back corner. The pool took on a slender form against the other tapering boundary and ends in a cantilevered glass faced poolwall, a lava lamp for the street at night.
