steel and tempered glass.
The pittsburgh desk is a multi tasking worktop designed for an architecture office.
Made of two layers of tempered glass held five inches apart by a mild steel frame, the desk was conceived with the aesthetic finish of steel originally produced in the pittsburgh mills of the late second industrial revolution.
The twin glass sheets allow for work and paper stored beneath to be easily identified, the addition of a light under which allows the table to be used as a lightbox for tracing and viewing slides and transparencies.
Stainless steel feet hold the table off the floor and the top glass surface off the lower shelf, with threaded joints for the purposes of levelling.
