three storey bungalow.
The louvrebox house was designed for the smallest and narrowest lot in the gated community of gita bayu. The solution was an eighty foot length of house and sixteen feet wide above a ground floor room taken to the limits of its boundary walls and a seven foot wide lap pool along the garden side which was left over.
A glass box of a lobby hangs off the length of the house. The other spaces fill a louvred box of aluminium lifted off the living plinth by light concrete columns. The aluminium louvres were sized and spaced to strike the balance between view out and privacy in and blocking the heat of an afternoon sun.
