Every single thing in existence is shrink wrapped in its unique dense weave of relationships which we call its context.

Problem solving is dependent on the ability to grasp the contextual weave surrounding any one issue: the knowledge a guerilla must have concerning the nature of his operational terrain is no different from the information a stockbroker needs to understand to make decisions offering the greatest positive impact. Knowledge is contextual.

The greater degree of complexity the problem, the further must one converse with the weave of its particular context for informed decision making and heightened intuition.

Design is the conversation between creativity and context.

Context informs the design of narrative, space and detail. It is about relevant design, building and spatial technology in an age where more is consistently spent to achieve less. A design which ignores its context denies the very basis from which its ideas come. Such design may appear accomplished, even exemplary, but it will speak for the pure effect of its own voice: singular, removed and parasitic.

Design derived through immersion in context amplifies it and is amplified in return. Context is the measure of all things, the weave from which statesmen and surveyors, painters and poets draw.

Context is, quite simply, the single most important consideration in design.
