system shelves

stainless steel and mild steel.

This antidust bookshelf was
designed to spatially separate
a lounge from a study, and
for ease of daily maintenance
and simplicity of installation.

And it had to serve the
superlative function of storing
books.

The shelves were configured
in fully ventilated format for
the best airflow, with steel
posts secured top and bottom
by means of stainless steel
locking cylinders above and
threaded adjustable feet
wound in place below. The
shelves proper each consisted
of three rows of steel flat
plates fixed on edge: spaced
to optimise support of varying
book widths, the narrowness
of each steel flat presents
spare little exposed surface
for dust to collect on.
