kitchenjockey

stainless steel and wired glass.

Designed for duality of use,
the kitchenjockey was made
for an unused corner in the
kitchen of the lightwell house;
an spot with insufficient space
for both a cabinet against the
wall and a table from which
party drinks and food could be
served. The jockey is a twin-
sided storage and work counter,
set on wheels to be pulled away
from the wall to accommodate
a bartender and ancillaries. The
upper portion of the jockey is
located over a lower work top
to allow functioning headroom,
and functions simultaneously as
two-way shelves for tumblers,
wine glasses and cups.

The kitchenjockey is designed
for the specific mobility required
of location, and delicate details
that might not usually find place
on, but lend grace to, the hard
edge of kitchen equipment.
