The folding gate developed from
observation that the common
swing gate opened right into the
path of a visitor standing by the
gate bell, and sliding gates were
a touch graceless in operation.

The folding gate is a hybrid of
the two mentioned, utilising a
sliding gate actuator attached to
a perforated gate folded in half
and hinged at the middle.

The gate is light of frame and
hinges out over a curved runner
on a single steel wheel, with two
other wheels guide a draw frame
on stainless steel tracks cast into
a gravel washed driveway.
