onion valet

stainless steel utility drawers.

It was observed with standard
kitchen cabinet drawers that
smaller kitchen utensils and food
items had an annoying way of
staying hidden in far corners.
And with the organic produce,
the discovery was commonly..
...phew.. made with the nose.

The onion valet was designed as
a set of perforated steel drawers
with each of their bases set in a
gentle curve.

The object of the design was to
ensure that its contents would
ventilate and generally come to
rest in the middle of each
drawer, a practical solution t
the otherwise age old search
for round organic material and
the forgotten onion.
